It wasn't long after we moved into our new house that we ended up at the mailbox together. He edged off the driver's seat and headed my way, his wife right behind him. "I'm Eldon, this is Mary Sue."
Did ya'll read what I just wrote? Eldon. And Mary Sue. Likely the cutest names in all the ends of the earth.
I wanted to scoop them into my pocket right then and there.
Two years later we're sitting at an oak table talking to Grandma Betty, my husband's grandmother. She is as spicy as they come and her eyes mist over every time she talks about how much she can't wait to see Eddie again. "I just don't know what I'm doing here. I don't know why God keeps on keepin' me around for."
But it was the best afternoon we'd had in a while. I mean, we watched all the ladies in the T.V. room fight like toddlers over a footstool.
Those who know me well know that I've long had a minor...or major obsession with the over-75 crowd. They've lived so much life. They have so many stories. And they feel forgotten.
So I'm creating what I call the Legacy Session.
Because a legacy is a gift passed down, and that's what I want these collections to be.
It's a chance to create lasting memories for families, grandparents, grandkids; to celebrate anniversaries, or capture moments for those who have loved ones near the end. It's an opportunity to let the older generation know they matter and still have much to offer, even after they're gone.
If you are interested or if you just want to give feedback I would absolutely LOVE it as I'm still putting ideas together. Message me through my social media sites or at firstname.lastname@example.org
Most of these collections will be black and white and will follow the same pricing for mini and full sessions that are set on my web page.
